Hello Nomads, how’s your week starting?
Still in Bangkok, sweating through the rainy season, and surviving the heat with a coconut in hand.
Last weekend, I took one of the toughest exams of my life—Thai anatomy, energy lines, and traditional healing. My brain was fried, but the real lesson didn’t come from the books—it came from the people around me.
When you give a massage, you listen without words. You feel where people are holding stress, grief, exhaustion.
And here’s what I’ve seen time and time again:
People are doing everything to look free, but deep down, they’re exhausted. Tired of chasing the next thing. Tired of pretending to be okay. Tired of waiting for the perfect moment.
This is something I’ve noticed across my travels: the constant search for something, always just out of reach. But freedom isn’t about the next trip, the next paycheck, or another checkmark on your list.
This is the story of how I found real freedom…

The Myth of Escaping is real freedom
My Freedom Journey Began With Escape
It all started in Wörgl, Austria. I was just a teenager, staring at the Kaisergebirge mountains while my classmates planned conventional careers.
"Up here, you're free. No rules, no schedules—just freedom," I thought to myself.
Bitcoin was my first real taste of freedom. It wasn’t just a digital currency, it represented a break from traditional systems. With savings from summer jobs, I made my first investment and booked my first solo flight to Finland for the Midsummer Festival. That moment was the beginning of a life that would continuously question the idea of what freedom really means.

The Pursuit of the "Perfect Moment"
We’ve all done it—waiting for the perfect moment. The next payday. The next trip. The right love. The perfect bank balance.
But over time, I learned this lesson from working with dementia patients at a retirement home:
People don’t talk about their possessions. They talk about experiences, family, and the things they wish they had done sooner.
This lesson pushed me to embrace the ancient philosophy of “Memento Mori” — remember death. Life is too short to wait for “someday.” I’ve learned that waiting for the perfect moment only holds us back.
As Pope Francis said —
"You are waiting for too much… when you have money, when love arrives, when everything is perfect... But perfection doesn't exist. A human being cannot attain it… So make the most of this trial of life — and do it now."
The Freedom Paradox
My quest for freedom led me to Cyprus, where I set up a company to explore new tax advantages and lifestyle possibilities. The Mediterranean island promised sun, sea, and freedom—but it also brought challenges: loneliness, cultural adjustments, and cold winters without proper heating.
But Cyprus taught me a valuable lesson: freedom doesn’t come without its challenges.
You can’t expect life to always be comfortable, but you can learn to navigate discomfort with resilience. I found peace not in avoiding discomfort, but in embracing it through movement or a cup of hot ginger tea.

The Breaking Point That Brought Me Here
But that discomfort did not stop me, in fact it made my pursuit even more stronger.
Even after the turning point came after the Terra Luna crypto crash where it wiped out a significant portion of my wealth in 2022. For the first time in years, I felt lost—not just financially, but emotionally.
I had always defined myself by my independence, my ability to create my own path. But without that security, I felt like a nobody. This forced me to reflect deeply on what truly mattered in life.
I turned to India and spent four weeks at an ashram in Rudraprayag. The experience was humbling. Immersed in yoga, meditation, and a structured routine, I learned that real change doesn’t happen in grand moments.
It happens in the quiet, subtle moments, in the way you react to life’s smallest challenges, like staying calm when a plate falls or feeling present in a deep breath.
So, Real Freedom From Years of Travelling is….
‘Living fully in the moment’
It’s not traveling endlessly or achieving financial independence. It’s finding peace within yourself, no matter the external circumstances.
Real freedom is being content with where you are, no matter where you are.
So today I'm not here to tell you to grind harder or meditate more.
I'm just saying: breathe.
When I stood in the ancient rocks of Ha Giang, I gained perspective: "How small are our everyday worries in a bigger context? We stress about money, jobs, and messages on our phones. But among these thousand-year-old rocks, none of that really matters."
Let go of the idea that things need to be perfect before you can be happy, rested, or real. You just need to come back to your body. Take a breath. Feel your feet. Hug someone you love. Eat slowly. Cry if you need to. Be exactly where you are.
That is real freedom. So, what’s stopping you?
